We met up with my family in Kaysville for the parade and festivities there. It's a fun small town parade with tons of candy, which is really all you need, right?! Here's my folks with Emily and some kiddos:
The dads keeping the youngin's happy:
The only time the kids actually sat in the chairs, they were usually in the street gathering candy. And Miss H keeping us cool:
My handsome cowboy hubby:
Puppy did not stop waving the whole parade, I don't think he was even waving at anyone, just waving! He and his little cousin Mr. E are so cute together, they have a blast!
Big Boy and Miss H rocking their newly acquired sunglasses!
Puppy is seriously considering spraying Grandpa:
And now he's going in for a kiss with Daddy:
Cheeks enjoyed getting mardi gras beads at the end of the parade, we all ended up with tons around our necks:
Big Boy got a little tired towards the end and just stood and stared for a while, it was a hot day!
And, finally, my favorite moment of the parade, the aging rocker with a flabby belly dancing down the street! I didn't get a good shot of the belly, but this guy had me chuckling for a long time after.
After the parade we headed back to Emily's for some water play for the kids and a yummy BBQ later. When it got dark we set off some fireworks, then watched Davis High's firework show from the backyard. After the professional show all the neighborhood kept the show going with tons more fireworks, it was a blast to watch! We had a really fun 4th of July! I'm so grateful for our country and the freedoms we have, we are so blessed!!
