The Brother of Jared FHE

Sometimes our FHE lessons are a bit last minute, but this one turned out to be a hit. If you have boys and a bunch of LEGOs, give it a try. First we told the story of the Brother of Jared out of the children's Book of Mormon. Then we had the boys build a barge out of LEGOs. We had a bunch of clear LEGOs so we used those as the stones, then had Shafer touch each one to make it 'glow' with his hidden flashlight. The boys thought it was pretty cool when the light came on the first time.

Then they put 2 stones in the barge to light the way for the Jaredites. Yes, it was a little cheesy, but the boys ate it up! I figure any time we can incorporate LEGOs into the lesson it will be a hit!
