Shafer got me a sewing machine for Christmas. It's something I've wanted for a while, but I'm a little scared of actually using it. My Mom taught me the basics when I was a teenager, so after reading the instruction manual I was on my way.
I've been wanting to cover the pillows on our couches since we moved in and now they're done! I actually only sewed the bird pillows, the other ones were pillow covers from IKEA. I love the way it brightened up the room!
I also did this flower pillow for the family room. You can see it in use:
Maybe I'll even sew some curtains, or some bedspreads, or a skirt, or a scarf, or.....whoa, take it easy Linds!
