Happy Easter!

We had a really nice Easter, especially considering the amount of stress I was feeling that day!  You can see on our chalkboard we had our countdown chain for Legoland.  So, in addition to Easter, I was also planning for our big trip to California, which also included Big Boy's 8th birthday, and it all concluded with his baptism right after we got back.  So, there will be several posts on those events, but to have a nice semi-relaxing Easter was a blessing!!
The boys always go immediately for the candy and fill their cheeks:
Including Puppy who burst open the first egg he found and didn't seem sad that he had to eat them off the floor, with a little help of course!
This little guy loved the Peeps!!
I tried to give them some things we could use on our trip, like activity books & DVDs for the drive, new clothes, and sand toys for the beach.  The only problem was they wanted to do the activity books and watch the movies before the trip.  Note to self for next time; save it all for the road!!
 Big Boy loving life!
The best part of the day was that I didn't have to cook a big Easter dinner.  Shafer's sister, Eliza and her hubby Will, invited the whole Taylor clan over to their house and cooked the whole meal.  It was the best roast and scalloped potatoes I've ever had!  My mouth still waters thinking of it!  Then, we had a huge egg hunt with the cousins in the grass of the church next door.
There were so many eggs, but also so many kids, what a fun time!!
This kid didn't stop eating candy all day!
 Monkey on the hunt:
Some of the adults chatting while the kids searched.
It was a wonderful day to spend with family and to remember our Savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us!  He is Risen!!
