Cascade Springs

A few weeks ago we drove up the Alpine Loop through American Fork Canyon and out Provo Canyon. After spending last Fall in Nebraska where there was little if any leaves changing colors I really wanted to bask in Utah’s Fall foliage! It was such a perfect day! There was still quite a bit of green left, but it was so beautiful! We decided to drive over to Cascade Springs to walk around the trail there. I think it was last year or the year before there was a big fire there. I loved seeing the big black trunks sticking out of all the red and yellow leaves, it was so pretty!
After we’d eaten our picnic lunch we brought with us Big Boy couldn’t see any more reasons for us to be there and he started throwing a fit. He wanted to get back in the car and watch a movie. We hadn’t even walked around half of the trail, so we pressed on. As you can see from the pictures, Big Boy was a real gem on this trip, he just really made it so fun! But, sarcasm aside, Cheeks really was being a cutie. We noticed that most of the other people there were elderly. They all stopped and asked us about our three boys and Cheeks would stand there and wave at them.
Anyway, it was a good time, it would probably be even better this week with more leaves changing. It’s a pretty good place for strollers too.
