St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's Day was quite a hit at our house this year. We started the day with trixy leprechauns dying our milk green and putting shamrocks all over our front door. Big Boy went to preschool and had a fun green party there. My brother and his family were in town all week so we've been hanging out with them as much as possible. St. Patty's Day was the day they were coming to our house for dinner. We started out with a trip to the aquarium or the 'kawawium' as Cheeks called it.

Showing some brotherly love: The whole place was full of GREEN. It made it hard to spot your child, since everyone there was wearing green too!! Here's the clan checking out the rays. Here's all the kids, what a cute bunch! Then we headed to our house for an Irish feast. Here's my table set up:

And, here it is with the food all set up- Corned Beef, cabbage, parsley potatoes, green jello, some gluten free Irish Soda bread (which ended up being a huge hit!) and we finished up with some Banana 'GREEN' Pie: Ready to dig in:

We had a little shamrock hunt for the kids, with a bucket of treats at the end. I had a great time and loved having my family over. I can honestly say this was the most effort I've ever put forth for St. Patrick's Day, but it was worth it!
