For some reason I haven't been able to upload pictures for a few weeks and it's kept me from posting about Christmas. But, even though I haven't done anything different, it suddenly let me do it today, so here's our recap of Christmas Eve:
My brother, Steve, and his family were up from Phoenix so we found ourselves driving up to Farmington several times that week. On Christmas Eve there was a huge snowstorm and we were driving in it! It was one of the scariest drives ever as we passed accident after accident. Luckily we made it there safe and had a lovely evening with the family!
We always have the grand kids dress up and act out the nativity story. Puppy wasn't thrilled to be wearing his shepherd garb:
What a good looking group!
My Mom got the new picture book of President Monson's train story and read it to us:
Then the kids got to frost cookies to leave out for Santa that night. I think half of their mouths are full in this picture, it's hard to resist frosting!
After another white knuckle drive home following a row of snowplows on the freeway we were home safe and sound. The boys got to open up some new jammies:
It took a lot of persuasion to get these super excited boys to go to bed that night. What a magical night, there's nothing else like it! They were good and stayed in their beds whispering and giggling with excitement! It was a lovely night, I already can't wait until next year!!
