Check that off the list!

What could keep my boys completely enthralled for an entire morning?

How about a crew of workers and some big machines ripping out bushes and pouring cement!
Shafer has worked tirelessly moving our fence out to the sidewalk. Two nights before the crew came he was out past 10 cementing in the posts with a tiny lamp on an extension cord. What a man!!
Here's what the cement looked like right after the work crew left:
Here it is today with the fence back up:
We're so excited to have a huge part of the backyard plan completed. Not to to mention how grateful I am to have our fence mostly back up. It was a little embarrassing to have our shameful backyard on display for the whole neighborhood to see! Now we just have to finish tearing out unwanted bushes and trees, bring in a ton of topsoil, put in a sprinkler system, put in sod, build some garden boxes...
The never-ending list! We're really hoping to get all of that done next summer. So, only one more year of prickly weeds and dirt! Woohoo!

I remember that feeling of being pantsed when out fence was down for awhile.
