It was our Taylor year for Thanksgiving this year. Some of us had never been out to Elko, NV to visit Sadie and her family since they moved there a few years ago. We thought it would be fun to have Thanksgiving out their way! Her very generous friends offered to let us stay at their home while they were away for the weekend. So, 3 families stayed in their house. We had a fun time and the kids were in heaven playing with cousins!!
I forced the boys to come outside for a few pics of the family. It's probably the first picture of our whole family from the whole year! Even though we're not matchy-matchy, I think we look okay together! Plus, we're all in stripes!
We ate at their church, here's all the delicious food ready to be eaten!
The little kids table:
The medium kids table, with the older kids table in the background:
And the adults. We were laughing at the conversations we were hearing from the little kids table, all body fluid humor, you know; poop, bum, etc. We managed to fit in a few of our own at the adult table, we're loads of fun!!
As soon as dinner was cleaned up all the sisters left the men in charge and headed to the Black Friday madness at Walmart. It was fun to be there with a big group, we kept running into each other all over the store. At the end we had 2 full to bursting shopping carts, so we did pretty well I think!!
Before we headed back on the road the next day we visited the California trail museum, and Puppy had to dress like a cowboy. We all sat in on a little video of the Doner party, I think some of the kids are scarred for life after that!!
We had so much fun with the families that we had in Elko with us. It was fun to see the Goulding's home and see what their life in Elko is like. I'm so grateful for our wonderful families, for our beautiful boys, for Shafer's job, for our home, for our friends and neighbors, for our country, and all the blessings we have in abundance!
