Early Pioneer Day (Posted late)

Since we've been back in Utah we've celebrated Pioneer Day a day early each year with the city of Bountiful. They have a great parade, a cute festival, and fabulous fireworks in the evening. We invited ourselves up to my Grandparent's house to swim, which felt wonderful on such a hot day. They were so nice to feed us afterwards.
Then, we went to the parade for the first time this year and we were not disappointed. There were some great cars that my boys couldn't keep their eyes off:

We kind of sidled in behind the people who set up camp at 5 in the morning. The kids were able to squeeze their way to the front eventually. Atta boys!!

The boys were excited about all the loot we acquired. Especially the candy which we came away with two hats full of.
And, of course there were the blessed water guns which were greatly appreciated:
After the parade we headed back up to my Grandparent's house for a spectacular view of the fireworks and some more good food. It was a great Pioneer Day!
